Email PDF fillable form as attachment using php?

Please help me this is our problem.

We have created a simple PDF form for our clients to book in a job. Currently they fill it in manually and we receive it by fax. We have created this form with editable fields now, and would like to host this special PDF so it is 'browsable to' on our website. When filled in we would like to submit it to a PHP script which would process and then email the complete PDF to our production department, and another copy to the user. Is this possible? If so, how?

what is needed for LiveCycle Output?

We have several copies of LiveCycle Designer ES 8.1 and we have an Adobe Server running. What is needed on the server to facilitate LiveCycle Output. We may already have what's needed, but just install or turn on.

 

I assume LiveCycle Designer ES can be used to create templates for dynamic content, which will be used by LiveCycle Output.

Upgrading From Altercast to Livecycle

Hi

 

I was looking for some direction.  We currently use Adobe Document Server 5.0 and the Altercast Web Service to pass XML to a template and for it to pass us back a pdf document.  We have been advised that Lifecycle is the way forward.  I was wondering if the Output Module would be the correct module to use for this?  Does anybody have any pointers in this direction.


Any help would be gratefully recieved.

How to retain all fonts during flattening

I am trying to flatten a PDF using OutputService's transformPDF method. When I use the TransformationFormat.PDFA option so that I retain the fonts, I get an error saying similar to "Unable to find the font 'Impact'. Font substitution not allowed for PDF/A". Now the questions I have are:

 

1. If I want to flatten a PDF using APIs while retaining the fonts, is transformPDF method with TransformationFormat.PDFA argument the right choice? Will the size be so high that I do not get any benefit out of flattening?

2. If that is the right choice, how do I add/install fonts to LiveCycle server so that all the fonts I use are available during the transformPDF process?

 

Please note that I have the fonts embedded in the non-flattened PDF, thus making it look as designed in any computer it opens. I have thousands of forms which uses a variety of forms are they were designed and developed over many years with little or no style guidelines in the initial stages. Now if I flatten these forms as TransformationFormat.PDF, the fonts are substituted which make the text overflow or overlap and thus the form ugly and sometimes unacceptable. This is the reason why I looked at the TransformationFormat.PDFA option.

print form only for any full fields???

how that attach to a Print button in my file. The script will check all the fields in all the pages and then decide which ones should be printed. It can also set all the empty fields to become hidden when the pages are printed.

 

eg:

i have five page and 30 field for page but the client filled only three for page, when this click to printing is not happy for 5 page,  need only one page and only only the field is filled

How to control Preferences setting in adobe Reader?

Hi,

Is there any way to control the adobe reader->security-> Preferences setting at run time at adobe livecycle server either by Javascript or API.

 

I want to change the setting of the pdf before rendering forms to client desktop.

Static vs Dynamic difference when viewing in Acrobat 9

With ES2 or ES4, saving output as a static pdf results in the following when previewing and when viewing in Acrobat 9.4.5:

When viewing in Reader X or XI, or when saving as a dynamic pdf and viewing in Acrobat 9.4.5, the output is as expected:

One obvious solution is to upgrade everyone to Acrobat X+, but that's not an option for the enterprise.  Is there scripting I could add or a registry fix or some other alternative to hiding these annotation sequence numbers (or whatever they're referred to) in the static pdf, as the EDMS delivering this pdf to the end-users cannot currently handle XFA-enabled PDFs and so it must be static?

 

My suspicion is this is more of an Acrobat 9.4.5 issue than an LC issue, but I have researched extensively and cannot find a resolution.

Hi,

 

My name is Shawn and I work for Pfizer, an enterprise client of yours. We have thousands of LifeCycle licenses, but I don't know whom to contact to get support so I'm posting my question here.

 

I am creating a PDF form that lets the user check a box when the want to select a web metric they need set up for their website. What I'd like to do is, once a user has checked this box (there are over 100), all the boxes they've checked out of the 100 or so metrics pop-up / show up / dynamically generate at the bottom page, and have additional checkboxes next to them for the development teams "eyes only" that they will have to in turn, when the form is emailed to them filled out, select TEST and VERIFY checkbox for each metric showing that they've tested and verified the metric was configured, and then a text field prompting them to say HOW they tested and verified / what method.

 

How do I do this using LiveCycle?

Now and then this error occurs. Seems to be when running the ConvertPdfService(pdf to tiff). Often works when trying again.

Any idea why?

migration from JetForms to LiveCycle Output ES2.5

We need to know the following:

 

1.- What are the steps involved in the migration 

2.- What we needed to migrate our templates (.ifd) and data files (.dat) to LC Output?

Compare two PDF documents using LiveCycle Java API

Hi,

I'm new to LiveCycle. We have a requirement to compare two pdf forms (with data in it) programmatically (using Java API), let's say pdf1 and pdf2 and generating the resulting document as pdf2 document with the differences highlighted in it. I searched through the LiveCycle documentation and forums but didn't see any way to do it. Is this possible with LiveCycle? Is there any other way to do this?

Form does not contain Fragments when I run it

Hi Folks,

 

I've got a form which uses fragments.This form previews fine in the designer, but when I try to run it using generatePDF Output in a process, the parts that come from the fragments are gone.

 

The following entries are in the log:

I am working on a form, created it and the customer wants to add a feature where the user can add an image to the form before submitting. When the form is completed, it is submitted to a webpage and comes out as .xml data. My question is, how to I get the .jpg that was attached from the .xml data?

japanese font pack

I have built a pdf but whenever some else downloads it, it needs the "japanese font pack". I hear it is cause it has interactive forms fields. I have used a basic font (times new roman) and also embedded them.

Can anyone tell me a workaround?!?!!?!!?

Output.Print printing all PDFs double-sided

Hello

 

According to the following article it is possible to configure a PDF to print single or double sided in the Adobe LiveCycle Designer:

I follow these exact steps and configure the PDF Template "Printing" setting at the (Master Pages) hierarchy to "Print on Front Side Only" and then print the PDF by using the LiveCycle Output ES service. The PDF continuously prints double-sided regardless of the value I set. Interestingly enough the printer properties are configured to print single sided on the OS and if I print the PDF using Adobe Reader it prints single-sided. This leads me to believe that the Output service is specifically telling the printer "print me double-sided".

 

Any help would be appreciated.

 

I'm running Adobe LiveCycle ES version 8.0.1
